Quality instruction on all low brass instruments with KJ Brass Studio:
- All trombones
- Euphonium / Baritone Horn
- Tuba
What I provide:
In private studio lessons, I provide quality personalized one-on-one instruction with the student’s needs and goals in mind. Music theory, the understanding of how music is constructed, is taught along side instrumental technique at a level appropriate to the student’s ability to understand and use in performance.
Why is private instruction useful?
The Puget Sound area is blessed with great instrumental music programs in both public and private schools. However, the amount of individual attention necessary for improvement is limited by the size of the ensemble and extra time of the instructor. To help direct progress, focus on techniques specific to the instrument, and achieve personal goals, private instruction is a necessity.

- Worked along side nationally and internationally known performers since 1978.

- Developing musicality and style

- Using time-tested materials to help students play their best in any style
In addition, I am:
- An active working professional on all the low brass instruments.
